Luiza Helena Trajano in Ireland: Encounters that inspired the entrepreneurial community

During Luiza Helena Trajano’s visit to Ireland, BICC had the honour of taking part in inspiring and meaningful encounters between 30 August and 1 September.

Recognised as the Chairwoman of Magazine Luiza and one of Brazil’s most influential voices in entrepreneurship and social impact, Luiza shared valuable reflections with the Brazilian community in Ireland on collaboration, engagement, and leadership.

The programme began on Saturday, 30 August, at the event organised by Grupo Mulheres do Brasil, where Fernanda Hermanson, BICC Co-founder and President, spoke about how entrepreneurship connects worlds. She highlighted the role of women in building bridges between cultures and how migration strengthens the entrepreneurial spirit through adaptation, reinvention, and courage.

On Sunday, 31 August, BICC hosted an exclusive dinner for Platinum members, with Luiza Helena Trajano and her delegation in attendance. It was a unique opportunity to present more about the Chamber’s work, exchange experiences, and hear Luiza’s inspiring reflections on BICC’s role within the community and the power of active member engagement.

Bringing BICC’s participation to a close, on Monday, 1 September, we joined a meeting with Brazilian organisations engaged in social causes in Ireland, at the invitation of Grupo Mulheres do Brasil. At this gathering, Fernanda Hermanson delivered another talk, while Luiza emphasised the importance of collaboration to create collective impact and expand opportunities for the community as a whole.

These moments represented far more than simple encounters. They were opportunities to reaffirm the strength of unity, collaboration, and Brazilian leadership abroad.
